The Hunted
Death shadows my every step,
But I fear no reaper.
I’m caged in a world where monsters wear the faces of men,
And nothing is ever what it seems.
They won’t hold me forever.
I barely recognize the woman I’ve become,
And I’m clawing my way back to the beast who haunts my dreams.
They call me a gem,
But all they’ve forged is a bringer of death.

My soul steeped in merciless instinct.
When they steal what belongs to me in the dead of night,
Like a jewel locked away behind stone,
The creature within can no longer be chained.
Blood will soak the earth as I tear the world apart to find her,
And return her to where she was always meant to be.
